Introduction
We have just finished reading and analyzing 3 books. We looked at the characters, setting, plot, theme and you are now masters at analyzing literature! You are now about to read the book The Giver. Every good reader knows that they must know a little something about the book before they start reading.
Task
Your task is to research the main characters in The Giver and to create a guide that you will refer to while we read the book in class. You can either type or write down the information in the graphic organizer that YOU think is important to who they are as a character and might be an important detail throughout the story. Keep it simple but informative!
Process
You will be introduced to many interesting characters while reading The Giver. It is your job to depict the important characteristics about each of those characters. Some things that you should include are physical features, unique qualities, what they do in their every day life and details that you think make them unique! While filling out your graphic organizer, make sure you check out the rubric to see how you will be evaluated.
