Task

The See Yup Society of Victoria will be hosting information sessions at each of the local school for students and families to learn about the history of the Chinese miners specifically the Buckland Riot. You be assisting them by creating a presentation on the Buckland Riot which they will use during their information sessions to teach others about the event.

Your presentation will need to include:

  • How and why the Chinese miners came to the Buckland Valley
  • A map of the Buckland Valley indicating where many of the miners lived.
  • Why the Europeans did not like the Chinese miners
  • When the Buckland Riot occurred
  • What happened during the riot
  • Statistics of miners i.e. how many Chinese miners there were before and after the riot.

You may choose to create a Prezi or a PowerPoint.
