Your task today is to find and evaluate some educational websites that you will be able to use in your daily work with children. You will need to keep notes on the websites you find and the appropriate age level.

Process

  1. Using a search engine of your choice search for activities in Reading, Numeracy and Sport.
  2. Evaluate the websites by using the criteria below:
    1. Ease of use (Is it easily found? Do the links work?)
    2. Appropriate content  (Can it be read easily? Is the language age appropriate?)
    3. Is it engaging to kids?
    4. Is the content useful for learning?
    5. Would you recommend it to other Professionals
  3. Find a way of recording your finds so that you can retrieve them later

Evaluation

You will be required to complete the evaluation sheet which will be handed out in class.
