The Greeks thought that when Hephaestus their god of fire made weapons for the Gods in his Workshop under the surface of the Earth. His task of heating and striking the metals caused the Earth to erupt. The Hawaiians believe the volcanic eruptions resulted from the rage of the fire goddess Pell, who punish them by breaking the Earth opened by striking it hard with her stick.
But today you, young explorers will find out the truth about volcanos.
Firs, you need to split in two groups. Each team of scientists will make a research about how volcanos are formed. Each team would get a same set of questions, which you need to answer in order to complete your research. Use weblinks provided to find answers, and write them down. After all answers are writen down, both groups would present the results of their research. While one team representing the other one need to grade them based on evaluation sheet.
