As Americans many of us celebrate our freedom everyday and show our American Pride. But, is it possible that we could still be British Citizens even today? Many of you think you know a lot about the revolutionary war and why it occurred. And through that knowledge we are lead to believe that the war was inevitable. You will read through different sources and viewpoints of the lead up to the war and decide for yourself whether or not you believe that the war could have been avoided.

Task

You will read and research a multitude of different articles and entries on the reasoning behind the war. Being sure to fully examine the British side of why the war began as well as the American. As you read and discover more you will take notes on everything that you have learned and at the end of your investigation you will need to write a two page paper explaining whether or not the war could have been avoided. If so, give examples of how it could have been and if not then be sure to include why you believe it had to happen.
