The Planet Earth

Introduction

Hello! Today we are going on an adventure. I would like you to close your eyes and imagine that you are an alien from another planet! You have no earthly idea what our universe is like. So we are going to hop in our stellar spaceship and visit the planet Earth!

Task

What do we need to know about Earth? Today, we will be focusing on creating a brochure on the planet Earth. You will be researching various topics about Earth such as: landforms, climate, and life. Once you're done, you will make create a three paneled brochure that has all of the information you think will make others want to come to Earth!

Process

Researching about Earth:

When researching, It's important to make sure you're using accredited websites. You must find information on these topics: land forms, climate, and life. If you choose to find additional information, that is perfectly okay!

You can go to Google and type in "Earth" or "The planet Earth". Any of the sight words can be used when researching your topics. I will include a couple resources for you to use.

After you find your information, you will begin creating your brochure. You will need a piece of white paper and fold it into 3 parts. The title/front panel will have your topic "Earth" and an image that you find appropriate with your name and class. 

Inside your brochure, you will title each panel and write down what you find the most important to know about Earth. Make sure you include images and categorize your information.

Once complete, you will have a better knowledge of the planet Earth! We have learned through our research findings! Your brochure could be given to a friend, classmate, or "alien". In doing so, they would know everything they need to know about Earth's climate, land forms, and life.
