Introduction
One aspect of reading a map effectively is understand the map scale. Students find the hardest part of understanding map scale are questions like how big something is shown on the map really is, or how far a distance measured on the map is, or the accuracy of features depicted on the map. In this assignment students will have a better understanding of what scale is and how to analysis it on a map.
