Creating an Ornamental Garden

Introduction

Ornamental horticulture is the study of growing, arranging and tending decorative plants and flowers.

Studies in ornamental horticulture explore methods for designing plant and flower displays that can be

used by golf courses, greenhouses and public or private businesses. An ornamental garden is one that is

designed with different plants for decorative purposes. 

Task

Locate a suitable area for a garden.

List the tools needed to start a garden. click on the link to view tools 

List the plants or types of flowers suitable for the selected area.

Make a budget for the items needed for the project.

In groups, create a plan for an ornamental garden on the school compound.
