Body Parts
It is very essential to know our body parts and their functions. Let us discover the wonderful, beautiful parts and unique abilities of our body. Let us also understand the importance of taking good care of our body to stay healthy and strong.

Task
By the end of the activity, 80% of the class will be able to do the following:
a. identify and describe the parts and functions of the human body;
b. identify and describe the main parts of the sense organs of the human body;
c. describe the proper ways of caring for the sense organs to prevent common ailments.
Process
Activating Prior Knowledge
Mix and Match. Show a picture of a child and strips of paper containing the names of body parts. Have the pupils point out and match the strip of paper to the body part in the picture of the body.
Activities:
1. Flash Cards
Present flash cards with the names of the different parts of the body. Let the pupils read this parts. Make them spell the words correctly (face, eyes, ears, nose, tongue, hands, arms, legs, feet, chest, abdomen, hips, buttocks, elbows, knees).
2. Using a Model
Show a doll to the class. Tell them that a doll can represent our body, which also has the parts that we have. Let the pupils recognize the body parts using the doll.
Lead the pupils to state the three main parts of the body, and the parts that comprise these main parts.
3. Graphic Organizer
Using the triangle diagram below, have the pupils discuss a body part. on the top portion, they will draw and name the body part. On the middle portion, they will write its characteristics and on the bottom portion, they will write its function.
4. Health
Show pictures on how we should prevent the spread of germs. Ask the pupils to describe each picture. Let them tell stories on how the given ways helped them not to get sick leading them on the ways how to take good care of the body parts.
Evaluation
Conclusion
Be thankful for the body parts you have and take good care of it. Respect your body and the bodies of others as well.

Maria Fe was born on January 15, 1994 in Sevilla, Bohol. She is the youngest child of Dionisio L. Anino and Irenea D. Anino. She finished her primary and secondary education at her hometown, Sevilla, Bohol. She finished her bachelors degree, Bachelor of Elementary Education at Bohol Island State University, Main Campus, Tagbilaran City and was graduated last 2014. She is currently pursuing her Masteral Degree taking up Master of Arts in Education major in Early Childhood Education at Cebu Normal University.
She has been teaching in Dominican School of Cebu located at Pitogo, Consolacion, Cebu for two years handling Araling Panlipunan and Filipino subjects.
She loves playing volleyball, reading wattpad, and visiting beautiful places.
