The Great Depression

How did the great depression come about and what happened to the economy during it.

How did the Great Depression effect the different class, and did it have a greater effect on minorities?

How did the world get out of the great depression?  

The great depression was a very low point in the world’s history. It was right after World War 1. It was 1929-1939. The economy was very low and crashed. Then there was the dust bowl. It was called the great depression because everyone was having problems. Especially the government. Almost everyone was having money problems because the war had depleted all the resources like money, food and weaponry. Because the entire world was involved with the war this depression happened worldwide. It started in the U.S. and spread from there. Because of the economic crash most people lost their jobs. And in this time most men had jobs. It was their job to provide for their family and they couldn’t do that.

I want you to complete these three tasks. They will help you understands this difficult time period more than just seeing it as sad. Yes the entire world was struggling but there were good things that came out of it, and these tasks will show you.

This web-quest was made to help its viewers understand the great depression better. The different tasks were to help break down this time period for easy understanding. By breaking something down it allows for easier understanding. Each task helped with a different part. The timeline was to help see how it happened, the little paragraph was to help understand if it was beneficial or not, and the longer paragraph was supposed to help you understand the people and what they were going though. It was one of the lowest points in the worlds history and it is important to be educated about it.
