Who Am I?

Introduction

Welcome to your webquest.  You will be asked to do an activity each week.  Please use the webquest "Process," tab to access your assignments.  Throughout this webquest you will discover more about yourself.  

Task

As a group we will learn about who we are as people.  We will look inside ourselves to discover our social strengths and weaknesses.  As you work through these lessons we will increase our social and behavioral strengths.  Please take these tasks seriously as they will help you in your future endeavors.

Steps for goal setting (Post these steps in One Note:

Identify the goal(s) and write them down.

List the tasks needed to obtain the goals.

Start working on the tasks.

Add to the tasks as needed.

Check off the tasks as they are completed.

When all of the tasks are complete, determine if the goals have been met.

Select one trait that you would like to work on and write a personal statement on how you have demonstrated this trait. Post your statement in One Note.

Write a statement in One Note identifying a time when you used the advice given in the video.  How did this advice help the situation?  Then, write about a time you should have used this advice and did not.

You will be evaluated by the thoughtfulness and completeness of each task.  Please take your time and look into yourself to in order to increase your ability to self-reflect on your social skills and behavior.

Written Assignment

The assignments are difficult to understand.  Sentences are incomplete and contain many grammatical and spelling errors. There is no evidence of proofreading.

The assignments are clear and usually well written without many grammatical and spelling errors. The writing demonstrates good sentence or paragraph construction.

The assignments are written in clear, well-constructed sentences and paragraphs. The information is presented in descriptive language with few if any grammatical and spelling errors. The writing is polished and demonstrates excellent preparation and execution.

Thoughtfulness

Demonstrates no thoughtfulness. Very little effort.

Good effort. Answers shows thoughtfulness but could be more complete. 

Answers demonstrate that the student approached the task with a thoughtful mindset.

Conclusion

Congratulations!  You have not only completed your projects for this quarter, but you have learned more about yourself.  I hope you look forward to learning even more about yourself as you continue your journey throughout the next 3 quarters of school.

Behaviors within a classroom are apparent no matter what type of classroom you are in. However within a classroom where there are students with behavior challenges, these become more apart of the daily activities then do the rigorous academic schedule. 

Teacher Introduction

These lessons are geared for regular education classrooms. They seek to give explicit examples about goal setting, character building, conflict resolution and peer pressure.  They also look at what appropriate behaviors look like and what inappropriate behaviors look like; as well as gives students an active role in understanding how to correct the wrong behaviors.
