Bean in a Bag

How can we grow a bean in a bag? Where is the best place to do this? This experiment will help show us the best and fastest way to grow a bean in a bag at home.

Take home 4 Ziploc bags that contain a bean inside with a wet paper towel. Place the 4 bags in different parts of your home to see where it will grow the fastest.

1. Take home the 4 Ziploc bags with a bean inside.

2. Place the 4 bags in different locations of your home (ex: by a window, in a dark closet, etc.)

3. Every 3 days check to see if have sprouted or grew, draw or take a picture of each one. Place the bags bag in their location and check again in 3 days to record results.

4. After 9 days, see which bean grew the fastest!

3. Why do you think that one was the best place?
