Task

The following tasks will be completed during class over the course of two weeks leading up to the final presentation. You will use the quizzes and reviewed outlines as references in guiding you when creating your presentation. You will also have to turn in the quizzes and outlines as a part of your portfolio on the day you present in front of the class.

  1. 2 quizzes
  2. 2 outlines that will be peer/teacher reviewed
  3. Presentation

These tasks also need to be completed via the WebQuest:

  1. Watch this video
  2. Read this source
  3. Find three more academic sources

Process

After completing the tasks in class and on the WebQuest, you will create your presentation.  This will be done on Google Slides. There needs to be a title slide with your name on it, conclusion slide, and also a sources slide where you will list any sources for your presentation. There is not a minimum or maximum number of slides, but your presentation must be at least three minutes long. You will need to be as detailed as possible in your presentation, discussing specific themes from class or your own research. The topic "Civil Rights Movement" is broad but that is why we will have two outlines already reviewed so that you can have a strong sense of direction when creating this presentation.

Here's a list of the key components for the Presentation

  • Topic has to be one regarding Civil Rights Movement
  • At least 3 minutes for time length
  • No length for Slides, but must have title, conclusion, and citation slide
  • Be specific and thorough when presenting but also avoid long paragraphs typed out on your presentation
  • Be Creative!
