Introduction
Today we will be exploring the life of Milton Hershey! On your own you will research the major events that occurred in Hershey's life and the hardships he experienced. Individually, you will create and illustrate a timeline of Hershey's life.
This Web Quest will give you background information on Milton Hershey, learning what formed him into a great leader and business man.

Task
Individually, you will work to explore about the life of Milton Hershey. You will put together as much information as you can to help you understand how Hershey Chocolate as become so popular today. Each student will then work to create the timeline using materials given by the teacher. Each part of the timeline will include important dates and pictures. After completing the timeline, the student will write a final paragraph discussing how he reached his goals.
Process
This assignment you will create and illustrate the major events of Milton Hershey's life. Your timeline must show events that happened to Hershey personally. Examples: birthday, education, family, business.
On your own you will research the life of Hershey, starting with when he was born. Start off with his childhood and continue from there. Use his biography to find major childhood events.

Conclusion
The objective of this lesson was to learn about the life of Milton Hershey and how his life events did not stop him from doing what he loved. Students also learned how to research using online materials, create a proper timeline, and draw pictures matching an event.
Students have worked independently to create there timelines. Each student will have a chance to present them to the class.
