Function of the Root and Shoot of a plant

  1. You will wash the root and place the plant into a clear container with water.
  2. You will measure the initial water level.
  3. You will continue to measure the water level over a one week period. (The container should be covered with only the shoot of the plant exposed).
  4. You will use your result to plot a graph showing the variation of water level during the week.
