We are going to learn all about Illinois! We will talk about the geography, history, important people, and symbols of Illinois throughout this Webquest.
Process
Task 1
Use the Illinois Google Slide to answer the questions on the Webquest Google Doc about the geography of Illinois.
Task 2
Let's learn about the history of Illinois! Look at the Illinois History Google Slide and any of the websites in the Illinois History folder on Schoology to help you. You are going to make a book on Book Creator giving a timeline of important events in Illinois History. Here are the pages you need:
Page 1: Title (Illinois History) and your name
Page 2: Millions of Year Ago
Page 3: Two Million Years Ago
Page 4: 1600's
Page 5: 1673
Page 6: 1770's
Page 7: 1818
Page 8: 1860-1861
Page 9: 1981-1989
For each page write at least one sentence explaining which important event happened during that time and include a picture. You can't copy from the Google Slide or website. You must put it into your own words.
Task 3
Illinois has a lot of symbols! Look at the links in Schoology in the Illinois Symbol folder. Pick 4 that interest you. Make a copy of this Google Slide. Make sure to fill out all parts of each slide including the name of the symbol, the year it became the symbol, interesting fact, and a picture. You can look at this example if you need help. Make sure you put the information in your own words.
