Introduction
In this unit of work, we have dealt with conflict situations that take place inside and outside school with the aim of improving the school environment and promoting inclusion in our own school. Through these sessions, we have tried not only to become aware of unacceptable behaviours exhibited by teenagers inside and outside school, but also to learn strategies to mediate and prevent violence in order to contribute to the improvement of school coexistence by creating a safer environment based on mutual respect.
Task
On the occasion of the School Day of Non-violence and Peace celebrated on January 30th, you will design digital posters intended to promote healthy behaviours at school. In your posters, you will include a series of tips related to the different topics that you have studied in this Unit of Work. Each of the seven groups will be assigned one of the five topics we have dealt with: anti-bullying, stereotypes and prejudices, and social media advice, discrimination, and peer pressure. Each group will present their poster in the main hall of the school. After your presentations, your posters will be displayed in the school centre.

Process
Before starting to create your poster, access the link below and look at the digital poster on bullying that will serve as model for you own poster.

Look online for other posters similar to the one that you have just looked at to get some useful ideas for you own poster.
Now, it is time to start designing your digital poster. Pay attention to the following guidelines that will help you and your team:
1. You are going to work in teams of four. There will be seven teams of four students each. The groups will be created by the teacher.
2. Each group will create their poster on one of the five topics that we have tackled in this unit. You will have the opportunity to choose among 'Anti-bullying', 'Stereotypes and prejudices', and 'Social media advice', 'Discrimination', and 'Peer pressure'.
Since there are only five topics for the seven groups, there will be four groups working on two topics (two groups for each topic) and one group working on the other three topics In case of disagreement, the teacher will assign each group a topic.
3. Make sure everyone in the team understands the task.
4. Divide the work among the team members. As there are four people, one of you will be in charge of searching for images you can include in your digital posters. Another person will search statistical data that you might find relevant/ quotes/ etc. The remaining two members will start writing the text and searching for the 10 tips that you are going to include on your poster.
5. Start designing your poster.
6. Plan your presentation. Once you have created your poster, start planning your oral presentation since you will present your posters to the rest of your classmates in the main hall of the school. Your presentation should be planned and organised, since you are going to be evaluated on it. This means that your group will need to spend time rehearsing for it. Remember that everyone must participate in the final presentation.
As you can see in the Evaluation section, you will be evaluated taking into consideration not only the content and the originality of your poster, but also your oral skills, your fluency and your accuracy.
INSTRUCTIONS TO CREATE YOUR POSTER
You can create your digital posters online using Canva's Poster Maker (https://www.canva.com/create/posters/) or Adobe Spark's Poster Maker (https://spark.adobe.com/make/posters), for what you will have to register and create and account, but then you will start creating your posters for free. As an alternative, you can create them using Word or Google Drive, where you can insert shapes, images, etc.
Your poster should be divided into different sections:
- Why is it important to stop bullying/ fight stereotypes/resist peer pressure/ be smart online/ fight discrimination? You must include an opening paragraph to justify the need to address the topic that you have been assigned.
-The most important part is your TOP 5-10 TIPS to give advice. Remember that the goal of this project is to make a proposal for a more inclusive school. Therefore, you have to include those tips (between 5 and 10) that you consider the most important to stop bullying, to reject stereotypes and prejudices, to be safe online, to fight discrimination, or to resist peer pressure, depending on your topic (look at the websites table below).
- You should also include some images that you find interesting and relevant to your topic. As an alternative, you can even make your own drawings.
- OPTIONAL: You can also include graphs showing some statistical data related to the percentage of bullies and bullied students at schools, to the dangers of social media, etc; meaningful quotes that are related to your topic; etc.

Evaluation
The rubric below shows the grading criteria that will be taken into consideration to evaluate your oral presentation and your poster. Think about these criteria when designing your posters and preparing your oral presentation.

Conclusion
Throughout this project work, you have gathered information about five different topics that are relevant to you. Unfortunately, bullying, prejudices and stereotypes,the dangers of social networks, and peer pressure are present even in the most perfect communities. In order to prevent all of this, the most important thing is education and awareness.
You are now 'experts' on these topics. You know how to identify problematic situations and possible ways to prevent/stop them. You are now able to detect danger and to make the appropriate decisions in different situations. Try to promote inclusion not only at school, but also outside school.
