Introduction
The goal of this WebQuest is for elementary age students to be able to identify and understand the roles of a variety of different community members and how they may be able to help the community.

Task
Your task is to know the names of the community members and what their jobs are in the community. You will learn what it means to be a community helper and how they benefit your neighborhood. Many of these community helpers work in specific buildings. You will learn what buildings the community helpers work in and be asked to match the worker to their correct building.

Neighborhood helpers are an essential part of our community. Knowing which community helper can help you in different situations is extremely important. Having knowledge of where community buildings are located and what they look like in your own town helps you become a better community member. Community helpers work to make the community healthier, safer, and better for the community. Think about which friendly neighborhood helper you would most like to be. Talk to your classmates about other neighborhood helpers you know about!

This WebQuest was created for my Introduction to Technology class at FSU. It gives an introduction for third graders into the helpers in their community. It gives students an opportunity to learn about friendly neighborhood helpers and where they work. It is intended to promote awareness of children in their own communities.
