Animal Life Cycles

Introduction

A WebQuest for 3rd Grade Science

All animals have a life cycle, even humans. The animal life cycle begins with an egg, the egg develops into an embryo, the embryo is born and begins to grow to become an adult. This life cycle happens with these animals:

  • fish
  • amphibians
  • reptiles
  • birds
  • mammals

Task

What differences are there between the life cycles of various animals?

Each group of 4 or 5 will be assigned one animal and draw an animal life cycle poster. You will research and plan using web resources, textbooks, and worksheets in order to answer questions and teach your fellow students how an animals life cycle evolves.
