Life Science: Animal and Plant Cells

Introduction

Cells are the basic unit if structure and function of life. They are also a feature shared by all organisms. two types of cells are plant and animal cells. 

Task

Students should know;

  • Cells are the most basic form of life.
  • All plants and animals are made of cells
  • There are many smaller organelles within each cell

Students will be able to compare and contrast the information gained regarding plant and animal cells.

The students will be able to make a connection between plant and animal cells and understand the plant and animal cell special structures.

Process

Students will create a group of 4 members and discuss the video and link provided on the plant and animal cells.

Next, they will create a chart to show similarities and differences between the two cells.

Conclusion

Students will be asses based on the end result of their product showing the similarities and differences. Students will demonstrate a good understanding of the topic.
