Biography Project

Hello Second Graders!

You are going to listen to the book George Washington: Our First President.  Then you are going to research someone you think is interesting.  Last, you will create a Google Slideshow with your information to share with the class.

First, you will listen to the story George Washington: Our First President.

Second, you will go over the vocabulary from the book.

Third, you will choose a person you think is interesting to research.

Fourth, you will watch a BrainPopJr. video on biographies. https://jr.brainpop.com/readingandwriting/writing/biography/

Next, you will research your person.  Possible websites include kiddle.co, myON, and World Book Online.

While you are researching, you will take notes on a graphic organizer.

Then, you will create a GoogleSlides presentation.

Finally, you will present your GoogleSlides to the class!

Part 4:

Use a graphic organizer to help you collect important information on your person.

Be sure to fill out all areas.

Part 5:

Now, you will create a Google Slides presentation.  You will need your Clever Badge to help you log into your Google account.  Remember, you are teaching all of your classmates about your person.
