Introduction
The purpose of this WebQuest is to help you understand and learn all the phases that our moon goes through.
You see it every night up in the sky, but did you know that there’s many phases to the moon? We want to take you on an exciting journey to learn more about the moon and what’s special about all its phases.
FUN FACT: The moon was created roughly 4.5 billion years ago when a huge rock the size of mars slammed into the earth.
From earth we always see the same side of the moon because, as the moon is rotating around the earth the same side is always facing the earth. However, if you pay close attention you'll notice the different phases of the moon. Sometimes it looks like a thin crescent and other times it may glow brightly. These are just some of the special characteristics of the phases the moon goes through.
Now that you have the necessary background information. Let’s begin this Lunar journey through the moon!!!!
