Dystopian Society in "Unwind" for 7th grade ELA

Introduction

Imagine living a world that is perfect beyond your imagination that is tailored so that nothing could possibly ruin it. Do really believe such a world could be possible? In this Webquest, you as the student will be discovering what a dystopian society is and what the qualities of a dystopian society are. Also, how a utopian society can eventually end up becoming a dystopian society. By the end of this assignment, you will be making your own dystopian society.

Task

Your first task will be to investigate the different sources provided on dystopian societies. Then you will apply what you've learned about them in comparison to how "Unwind" is a dystopian society. Next, you will answer questions based on what you have concluded. Lastly, you will be creating your own dystopian society. 

Main Questions to consider: What is a dystopian society and how could the place in "Unwind" be considered one? How can a utopian society turn into a dystopian society? 

***You will be working on this WebQuest independently and will have until Monday, February 5th to complete it.

10.) If your only choice was to live in a utopian or dystopian society which would you chose and why?

11.) Now it's time to create your own dystopian society! You can do so however you'd like just make sure your society achieves the following: has a clear description, name of society, creative, applies to the definition of what a dystopian society is, is able to be presented to the class in 3 minutes or more, has a strict set of rules, who would lives there, what makes the society a dystopian society. These will be presented in class on Febuary 5th. Please take your time and make it as outrageous as you can!
