Introduction
This Webquest has been created by two second language teachers (english and french) and a music teacher of 4th of Primary who have decided to work collaboratively in a project.
Our aim is that students acquire the same expressions in both languages simultaneously and are able to compare them. The topic that we will treat is music and the expression we want to work on are:
- I like / J'aime
- I prefer / Je préfère
- I don't like / Je n'aime pas
- I hate / Je déteste
We will also use some vocabulary and structures that they already know because the objective is to make a thinking routine "Compare and contrast" about both languages.
We work with cooperative learning (groups of four students) and in this session both teachers will be in the classroom at the same time.

Task
Hello everybody!
We are Rocío, Paula and Natalia, the English, French and Music teachers!
Today we have decided to work together because, as we have always told you, working as a team is amazing! We are going to present to you an activity in which we are going to learn how to express our likes and we are also going to see the main differences and simmilarities.
Follow the steps in the "Process" part in order to do this activity.

Aujourd'hui on a decidé de travailler ensemble parce que, comme on vous a toujours enseigné, travailler en équipe est incroyable! On va vous présenter une activité dans laquelle on va apprendre comment exprimer ce qu'on aime et ce qu'on n'aime pas et on va aussi voir les differences et similarités entre les deux langues qu'on apprend à l'école.
Process

2. Work in cooperative groups in order to complet the poster (one statement each student) / Travaillez en groupes coopératifs pour compléter le poster (une phrase chaque élève):

3. Present your poster to the rest of the class / Présentez votre poster aux autres camarades de classe
4. Compare and Contrast / Comparez et Contrastez: Try to find similarities and differences between your statements and write them in both languages / Essayez de trouver les simmilarités et les différences entre vos phrases et écrivez-les dans les deux langues.
Evaluation
- Oral presentation of the posters that the students created / Présentation orale des posters que tous les élèves ont créé
- Correction of the Compare and Contrast in both languages seeing if the linguistic structures have been learnt by all the students / Corréction du Comparez et Contrastez entre les deux langues en analysant si les structures linguistiques ont été apprisses par tous les apprenants
Conclusion
Now you will be able to express what you like and what you don't like in two languages! This is just the first step to bilingualism!
Maintenant vous êtes capables d'exprimer ce que vous aimez et ce que vous n'aimez pas dans deux langues! C'est le premier pas pour le bilinguisme!
