Introduction
Students will research the history and basic rules of American Football.
In this WebQuest, students will look at the history of football to get a better understanding of the sport. Websites will be provided to help guide you through the process and answer questions provided.
Task
Upon completing this WebQuest, students will have a better understanding about the history of football and how it all started. You will mainly want to focus on when football actually was started and then work your way through time. The main goal of the project is to make a powerpoint that appropriately displays what you have learned.
Students will be working in groups of four.
The presentation should last roughly between 5 to 10 minutes and should answer some of the following questions:
-When was football created?
-Who founded football ect
Process
To accomplish the powerpoint you will first be placed into groups of 4. The powerpoint needs to be at least between 5 to 10 minutes and everyone needs to participate in presenting. Each slide should be fairly brief and have pictures on them. While presenting you should just expand on the topics on the slides and don't just read off of them.
The websites presented below will help you get started and you are welcome to use other resources you come across such as books or encyclopedias. At the end of the powerpoint there needs to be a slide dedicated to all of the sources you used.
