Let's go to the Oscars!

Introduction

You have the honour of having been invited to the Oscars’ Ceremony! Next 4th of March the 90th Academy Awards Ceremony will take place in Los Angeles, and your group will be attending. Glamour, culture, celebrities, prizes... Cinema in its purest state! Come on, start getting ready for it!

Task

You will attend the 90th Oscars’ Ceremony, so you have to plan everything for that day. You have to use the grammatical structure of “will” to make predictions about the future. You need to arrange the following elements:

-          The means of transport you will use to get to Los Angeles: say which flight you will take and the departure/arrival time. Include the link to the online booking.

-          The clothes you will wear: include a photo and the link to where you will buy it online.

-          The colours and outfits that you think will be most popular among celebrities.

-          Say who will host the ceremony and your predictions on what he will do or talk about. For this task you will have to investigate about last year’s ceremony, which was hosted by the same person.

-          Inform yourself about the nominations for each category and choose 5 films to describe. Write the technical specifications and describe briefly the storylines. Include some pictures.

-          Make predictions about who will be the winners in each category.

Process

-          You will develop this task in your cooperative base teams.

-          Focus only on the information demanded when you search the Internet.

-          To present your task, you can use a Word Document, a PPT, a Prezi, a PowToon, etc. Choose the format which best adapts to your needs.
