Egyptian Traditions

Introduction

Egypt was one of the most inventive and distinguished of all of the ancient empires, whether it was sorting organs into Jars for the afterlife, or by wrapping a body in soft linen cloth so that they could be preserved to live in the Duat with the rest of their family. In this activity intended for AP sophmores or Juniors the goal is to learn about what the traditions  were in ancient egypt and how it affected things such as religion, culture and economy. This should be about 1 page in length and should include several words that relate to the subject matter including a definition. Include Pictures and Color.

Task

The Task is to make a well written essay that involves Egyptian Traditions. Not only that but the idea is to teach the class something so make the writing clear and concise as well as informative. You can use any photos you would like from a computer as long as they are cited but remember to dictate to the class what the significance of the photos are.

Process

The Essay should be made up of 5 paragraphs, an introduction, three body paragraphs, and a closing 

The introduction should be focused on a three part thesis examining the individual effects on Religion, Culture, and Economy.

In each of the body paragraphs they must include an Arabic word with a definition.

Finally the essay should be well constructed and included LITTLE to NO SPELLING MISTAKES (points will be reduced) Plagiarism will result in instant 0.

Evaluation

The evaluation for this is 100-90 for a well put together paper including a good information and includes 3 to 4 good and interesting photos that fit the theme. This also would include 0-2 spelling errors as well as all citations cited correctly.

For an 80-70 is an okay paper with up to 10 spelling errors as well as having few if any pictures or color as well as having 1 incorrect citation.

60-0, poorly written paper with many mistakes, more than 15 spelling errors and no citations or plagiarism work.

Conclusion

To conclude, do your best on this as you (the student) are writing about another countries practices and traditions that they hold dear. Do your best to not have any spelling mistakes and do NOT have any PLAGIARISM in your essay. Remember if you have any questions ask a peer first if you need anything. If you still have questions you can ask.
