Teens and Drugs

Introduction

The local police department has discovered that high school students are participating in heavy drug use at local parties.  They suspect the use of alcohol, marijuana, heroine, cocaine, hallucinogens, and inhalants are most common.  They are worried because the number of drug related accidents and teenage deaths due to overdose have been on the rise over the last 6 months.  Most of the users are suspected to be between the ages of 14 and 17 and attend your high school.  The school and local authorities have tried to hold public seminars to educate students on the dangers of these drugs but they fear their efforts have had little effect on their behavior.  The school has been asked to form a student investigation team to research the facts on these drugs and develop strategies that will convince students to avoid using the drugs at future parties.
