DIY: Flower made in tissue paper

Introduction

Flower made in tissues paper is simple and quick to make.  They are thoughtful hand made and inexpensive and can last a long time.

Task

Its easiest to make all the materials you need are inside your house.

Process

Materials 

12 Sheet of tissue paper

Flexible Wire

Scissor

 

Step 1 Prepare your paper

 Lay three sheets of unfolded tissue paper down on a flat surface. Put it on top of eache tissue paper.

Step 2 Fold your paper

Take the bottom edge  and fold in over one inch. Then flip it over and fold it back on the other side and continue to fold it back and fort. Your tissue paper should look like paper fan.

Step 3 Make your flower

Fold the paper fan into half and fold an inch and a half of a flexible wire. Then twist the wire to secure the flower to the stem. Take two more of wire and attach them on the same way on each side about 6-7 inch away from the center. Cut the paper into three equal sizes (about 6-7 inches long) the wire should be in the center of each  of the pieces. Adjust the wire if necessary. Cut rounded edges of each end of the three flowers. Trim the outer edges a bit more than the inner edges to even  them out. 

Step 4 Fluff and finish your flower

While holding your stem (flexible wire) gently open the flower fan and begin to pulling the top layer straight up all the way around the flower  Be careful not to rip the flower. 

Seperate  the two other layer by pulling the other layer straight up toward the other layer while pulling the bottom layer straight down. Finally, flip the flower upside down and gently run your finger from the center stem to the  edges applying gently pressure pressing the bottom layer down toward the middle layer.

Conclusion

You need to be gentle on making tissue paper flower  because tissue paper are easy to reap and broken.
