Introduction

Welcome to your cinema workshop!

Today you have the opportunity to create your own movie project with a partner.

When you finish your film project and send the video presentation, the teacher has to decide the three best ones. In our next session, students have to decide the best one of those three.

The winner couple gets an award but, don’t worry. It isn’t a Golden Raspberry Award!

 

Task

Your job is to create an amazing film and convince your teacher you’re a talented screenwriter! In pairs, you have to write the plot of your film, decide who the filmmaker has to be and the best actors for your project!

After deciding all of this, you and your partner have to record yourselves and explain the teacher the ideas you had!

Process

TASK 1 

  • Do this task individually.
  • Watch the following video about how to come up with new ideas for a great and original film.

TASK 2 

  • Do this task in pairs.
  • Click on the websites in Section 1 to decide the plot of your film. 
  • Write three lines about the plot.

Little or no organization or creativity with little or no development of story. Little or no drawings. Poor writing skills.

Some organization, and only attempted creativity, weak development of story. Below average drawings and writing skills.

Extremely organized, creative, descriptive development of story line. Detailed drawings and excellent writing.

 

Individual Work

 

 

Little or no involvement in group process. Individual tasks were not completed. Little or no effort.

Fair involvement in group process but allowed other group members to do majority of work. Below average effort on individual tasks.

Extremely involved in group process. Strong contribution through detailed and exemplary work on individual tasks.

 

Group Presentation

 

Very little organization, bare minimum info, little or no creativity.

Presentation was fairly organized with some information, some creativity and little use of multimedia.

Presentation was well organized, concise, extremely informative, logical, very creative, with strong use of multimedia.

Conclusion

After writing all the necessary information for your film, you have to record yourselves giving a presentation. Talk about all the important parts of the film:
