Ancient Rome

Introduction

This is a web quest in which you have the opportunity to explore the ancient civilization of Rome.  At one time in history Rome was the mightiest civilization on the earth.  However, it began as a small settlement on the Tiber River, in what is now central Italy.  Enjoy your journey through ancient Rome!

Task

It is your quest to explore the development of Roman language, government, architecture, and engineering ideas.  You will learn of Julius Caesar and Augustus Caesar (Octavian).  You will learn about the Justinian Code and the decline and collapse of the Roman Empire and the Byzantine Empire.  Make sure to  take notes on each area of the quest.  At the end of your research, you and your partner will complete a project to demonstrate your learning.
