Introduction

Hello!

You are about to go on an adventure to learn the long vowel (a).

Task

You are going to follow the treasure map given to you by Ms. Dana. 

Follow the steps and use the materials in the box to complete all the activities. 

Once done, find Ms. Shaheena to collect your prize. 

Process

Step 1: Go to this link and play the long (a) vowel game.

Step 2 : On the map, color the picture that has a long (a) vowel. 

Step 3: Use the cards in the box, and find the 6 words that have the long (a) vowel. 

Step 4: Write the words on the map. 

Step 5: Take the book from the box, read the story, and find 3 words that have long (a) vowel. 

Step 6: Write a sentence using each of the words you found. Please write the sentences on the map. 

Step 7: Go to Ms. Abeer's office, and look for three objects with the long (a) sound. 

Step 8: Draw these objects on the map, and name them. 

Step 9: Look in your cubby. Find the list of words with long (a) sound, practice reading them, and then go to 1C. You will find Ms. Shaheena waiting there for you. 

Step 10: Read the list of words to Ms. Shaheena. 

Step 11. Give her the map, and collect your prize.
