The Human Body

Introduction

Hello, fellow Scientists!  Today we will be taking a trip through very familiar terrain...our bodies!  In order to discover what makes our body work, we must answer some questions along the way.  Are you ready for the trip of your lives? Climb aboard and let's get started.  Click "Task" to continue.

Task

Everyone aboard?  Okay!  First, we must find out what questions we need to answer.  At the end of our journey, students will be able to:

1. Answer how many systems work within our body.

2. Answer how many sections are in our brain and what are they called?

3. Why must we take good care of our bodies?

Process

First you will be placed with a group of two other scientists to study and investigate with.

You will then, follow the added links to discover new and interesting things about how the human body works and what the systems do.

Each link will lead you to a Website to help you answer one of the questions in the "task" section.  Each question must be neatly written.  Each group will turn in one paper.

Your group will then choose a system to create a visual about.  The visual can be a poster, a powerpoint, or a video.

Good luck!

Evaluation

Scientists will be graded on:

Presentation:  Is your group presentation and question sheet neat and well thought out?  Did you answer the questions using full sentences and correct punctuation?

Ideas:  Are your ideas well thought out and supported by information from the links?

Cooperation:  Did you participate in the group work?  Were you involved in all the steps of the Quest?  Did you provide assistance and support for your fellow scientists?

Conclusion

AWESOME INVESTIGATING!!

Congratulations, you have made it to the end of this WebQuest journey!
