Introduction
Welcome lunar explorers, let’s take a trip and review over the phases of the moon. As the earth and moon rotate, the sun reflects off the moon creating 8 major phases. Upon completion of this WebQuest you will have a better knowledge of what causes the different phases and see examples of what they look like. So buckle up tight explorers and prepare for liftoff on a lunar exploration to learn what the different phases are in Three….Two….One…..Explore.
Task
You have an awesome journey ahead of you, Lunar Explorers!!
You will have two tasks that you need to accomplish before your journey is done. You will work in teams of 2 to complete your assignment. Keep in mind you will be graded on having correct spelling, finding the right answers, and if you finish your work on time.
Now grab a paper and pencil and let’s get started!
Each person will search for the answer to one of the tasks and write it down on your sheet of paper.
For Task #1: Look up the names of all 8 phases of the moon and put them in order starting with New Moon.
For Task #2: Look up how long it takes for the moon to complete all phases.
Once all the tasks are complete, turn in your assignment for grading.
