Introduction
Today you will be going on a journey! This journey will take you through the many different places Salva traveled as well as through some of the difficulties he faced on his journey. This will be a final summative assessment of the journey Salva and Nya took that ultimately brought their stories together.
Task
Your task is to create a brochure that will teach other people about the difficulties in Sudan. Then, you will write a letter to your US congressman informing him of the difficulties in Sudan and asking him to donate money to help build a well.
You will follow along with the "Process" page and complete the Webquest handout.
Your letter will focus on TWO things:
1) Explain the problems of not having enough water in Sudan. Use text evidence from the book "A Long Walk to Water" to help explain the situation.
2) Ask for money to donate a well. You must include the cost of the well, how long it takes to build, the company that makes them, and the process of building the well.
