Introduction
You have been learning about the pilgrims traveling to America. Last week, you took a trip to Jamestown, Virginia and learned about the Thanksgiving holiday, which we have not discussed yet in class.
Can you tell me why we have the Thanksgiving Holiday and why it is important to our country?
Task
Your assignment is to create a 2 slide powerpoint to share information you learned about the origin of Thanksgiving.
- Must be 3 slides.
- Must show you learned something new.
- Must include at least 2 pictures.
- Must include title page ( not including 2 slides that are required )
Process
1) Students will use notes taken from the field trip as their information for this presentation.
2) Students will have multiple chances in class to go to the computer lab and use Microsoft Powerpoint to create their presentation.
3) Students will be able to access google images to find photos that corresponds to the presentation.
4) Student will have access to WebQuest to make sure they are following directions throughout the duration of the project.
5) Students will have a week to work on assignment. Presentations will be in the front of the class, the following week.

**I thought this would be a neat assignment since Thanksgiving is coming up. Most of the time when Americans celebrate Thanksgiving, the true meaning of it is overlooked. As generations move on, the less our kids are taught about Thanksgiving.**
