1) Make a list of the ways in which families honor their deceased loved ones throughout the festival of Día de los Muertos.
2) Describe the items on a family's altar for their loved ones.
3) Select three people in your own life who have passed who you might be able to honor in a similar way.
4) How might you honor your own loved ones?
5) What is your favorite part of El Día de los Muertos and why?
Evaluation
Students are able to successfully demonstrate their knowledge of El Día de los Muertos by following the process and answering the questions.
Each question is eligible for 2 points when fully answered.
