Introduction

Year 12's, it is your job to use your new found research skills to locate primary and secondary sources relating to the content we have covered in regards to The African American Civil Rights Movement 

Task

Working in pairs you will follow instructions on the process page, to answer the questions by following the links provided to the appropriate websites.

You are required to locate a two-three sources on either Malcom X, Martin Luther King or Rosa Parks during the Civil Rights Movement in America. You must find these sources by using reliable websites or research sites  You have fifteen minutes to complete this task 

As you research significant figures of the African American Civil Rights Movement, consider how each source, including the type (primary or secondary) is relevant. 

We will discuss your findings at the end of the lesson

1) Who is Martin Luther King Jr, Rosa Parks or Malcom X? (only choose one to focus on) 

2) What role did they play in the Civil Rights Movement? 

3) Why is this figure significant to the Civil Rights Movement?
