Learning Vowels for Sentences

Introduction

We are going to be learning about vowels and how to tell them apart. A vowel is a, e, i, o, and u also y can be a vowel as well.

This is part of English and also for second graders.

Task

Take each vowel and write a sentence and explain why you chose that sentence.

Explain why the letter Y can be a vowel and put that in a sentence correctly.

Process

You can search through the internet if the book does not explain vowels in a way you understand. You will also need to pick each vowel and write out the sentence on loose leaf paper and underneath your sentence explain why you chose that sentence.

Evaluation

Each sentence is worth 5 points and each explanation is worth 5 points. You will be graded on how well your sentences and explanations are.
