Introduction
We all get sick at some point or another. We get all kinds of different sicknesses and we all need to know what sickness we have and the difference between the sicknesses we get. This WebQuest will get you to learn some different sicknesses and the differences between the sicknesses. You will be able to see you learning these, when you start acting them out right and when you are playing doctor you will be guessing them right. Eventually you wont even need to look at the link i gave you to do so.
Task
Part1 Get into a group of four, and assign every group member a role. There are four roles, doctor, Patient1, Patient2, and Patient3. Assign the three patients three different sicknesses, that you can find in this link. http://www.bb-sd.com/documents/Common_Illnessess_Diseases.pdf Part2. The patients will then act out their sickness to the doctor one by one. They will (as a group) record whether or not the patients acted it out right or not and if the doctor guessed it right or not.You will all rotate roles and act out three different sicknesses and you will all play doctor. Part3. You will put your findings in a chart and we will see how you did. Based on how many times you guessed it right as a doctor and how many times you acted it out right. Therefore we will find out if you know and understand these sicknesses and the differences between them.
Process
Step one is to assign group members there postions. They are either the doctor or one of the three patients. Then the patients will choose one of the sicknesses I have given to you. http://www.bb-sd.com/documents/Common_Illnessess_Diseases.pdf This link has a list of sicknesses and the syptoms of each. You will then learn your sickness from the internet and act it out to the doctor. The doctor will learn the diseases and have to guess the different diseases correctly. You will do this three more times so that everyone will be the doctor. That means everyone will have to act out three sicknesses, and they all must be different.
Evaluation
You will make a chart. You will put in this chart the amount of time the doctor got it right and wrong and the percentage he got it right. You will record this information for each doctor in your group. This is so i can see if you know the difference between these sicknesses. You will also record how many times each patient acted it out right, and the percentage for that as well. I need to see if you understand the material.
Conclusion
I want this project to be fun for everyone so that everyone can and wants to participate. At the same time i want everyone to learn these common sicknesses and learn how to tell them apart. You will need to follow what i have provided step by step and you will not only learn but have fun doing it.
