Task
You are going on a dream holiday to a destination of your own choice. Your task is to plan an itinerary which includes everything you will need to go on your holiday. The only requirement for your holiday is that the maximum amount of time you can go for is 2 weeks.

Step 1: Using the travel brochures provided or by tapping on the links to the online travel brochures I have included below, choose the destination for your dream holiday. Your holiday can be to anywhere in the world, let your imagination run wild.

Flights: Using your ipad or a travel brochure, research the cost of flights from Melbourne to your destination.
a) What flight company will you use?
b) How will you fly? Economy? Business? What is affordable?
c) What is the best deal you can get? When is the best time to fly?
d) What is the total cost of the flights (return)?
Step 3:
Accommodation: Using your ipad or a travel brochure, find the type of accommodation and the costs involved.
a) Where is the best location to stay at your holiday destination?
b) Is it central to what you will be doing?
c) How many nights will you stay there?
d) What is the total cost?
Step 4:
Transport cost:
a) What transport will be used? Bus, train, car etc.
b) Will a rental car be used?
c) What is the total cost of transport?
Step 5:
Tours/activities and spending money:
What activities might people do when they are on holiday?
a) You need to plan one tour/activity for each day on their holiday.
b) How much will these activities cost?
Step 6:
Best buys and total costing:
You have contacted a travel company who has offered further discounts off your holiday if you book through them. Calculate the total discount for your trip using one of the options below.
a) 10% off all flights and accommodation
b) 25% off all accommodation
Step 7:
Create a table showing the total costs for your holiday.
