Introduction
Welcome!
A Raisin in the Sun stood for much. From the Langston Hughes poem that elaborated on dreams.. and what happens to those dreams that fail to become reality to us. He said does it ( the dream ) dry up like a raisin in the sun. During the period that took place in the book, segregation of races played a major part in the nation. Places like restaurants, libraries, beaches and even neighborhoods.
When Mama bought the new house the family mentioned how it was nothing but rich white folk in the neighborhood. Which was true because black families usually stayed in low income homes or poverty areas like the ghettos or the poor country.
The Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee had a dream to end segregation in all aspects. Led by Martin Luther King Jr, the SNCC had a way of protesting without harming the other people no matter what, and believe me it took alot. It was their dream to put an end to racial discrimination and it soon became a reality to the whole nation.

Conclusion
The SNCC had a dream. A goal. A mindset. A change. They wanted MORE and just like "A Raisin in the Sun" Walter had a dream. Mama had a dream. They all wanted something to become reality to them. To change their lifestyle. To make a better living. And just like the Youngers and SNCC we all have dreams and wants. What will we do to make them happen?
