Standard: ITSE-3A

Task

YOUR TASK WILL BE COMPOSED OF 2 STEPS

  1.    RESEARCH THESE 5 WEBSITES AND DETERMINE IF THEY ARE VALID
  2.    USE THE INFORMATION ABOUT WEBSITE VALIDITY TO FIND 4 VALID WEBSITES ON YOUR WEATHER PHENOMENON

Process

How do we determine the validity of a website?

  • Step 1- Type your weather phenomenon into the search browser (Google).

***This was done for you with the following websites below.

  • Step 2- Look for websites containing your weather phenomenon.

  • Step 3- Click on the website (.edu, .org websites are the best).

  • Step 4- Read through the website for the information (do this before you start taking notes).

  • Step 5- Look for an author and publication date- the date should be updated recently (current), and the information is fact based and not opinion based.

-After you have looked through all the websites determine if any information was different (contradicts other information). This could make a website not valid.

-If you determine the website (s) is valid you may begin taking notes.

Let’s practice with the websites below!
