Roles of family members

As family members, we all have different roles. Let's discuss some of them. 

Answer the following.

1. What do you think are the roles of the family?

2. List two roles of:

             a)  A mother in the home 

              b) A child in the home

You will be engaged in a brainstorming session about the roles of the family.

After the discussion, you will listen to a podcast about the family in order to help you with your task.

You will be placed in groups to do a dramatization of a family type showing its roles.

1. Family members must live together in peace and harmony. To achieve this, each member of the family must be aware of the duties and responsibilities.
2. . The father is the breadwinner and chief provider of the family. The mother is the manager and treasurer of the family. The girls help the mother in doing the household chores. The boys are usually assigned the heavy working the house.
3.  Nowadays, father and mother, as well as girls and boys in the family, share in almost all the house works. The home activities of one family may differ from those of other families. A schedule of homemaking tasks is an effective tool that will ensure participation of the family members in household task during their free time.
