Introduction

What are head lice?

  • Head lice are small, wingless insects that live, breed and feed on the human scalp.

  • Head lice have lived for millions of years and, in fact, predate human evolution.

  • Lice will crawl from head to head, but direct contact is required for them to pass from person to person.

Task

Task: 

  • You will work in pairs to create a poster which provides information on head lice.

This should include answers such as:

  • What are head lice?
  • What are the symptoms of head lice?
  • How do you get rid of them? Treatment.

Process

The Process:

  • You must work together to collect and record information. 
  • Use the provided websites to find information.
  • The poster must be in A4 size.
  • You will have one hour for research and one hour to create the poster. If you find your information quickly you can use the remaining time to draft your poster. 

Evaluation

During the research and design process you will be assessed on: 

  • Your ability to work as a team
  • Your research and ICT skills
  • Your visual design and presentation of poster

Conclusion

Talk amongst your peers, ask:

  • what questions should you ask?
  • who is going to do what?
  • how will you present your information?
  • How can you best use your time
