Introduction
The Diary of Anne Frank is a diary of a young Jewish girl who died of typhus at age 16 in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. Anne Frank hid in an attic for two years with 7 others: Otto Frank, Edith Frank, Margot Frank, Peter van Pels, Hermann van Pels, and Auguse van Pels. The attic, called the "Secret Annex," was located above of her father's business, but others in the business knew this. They helped the families in the Secret Annex until they were caught two years later. The people helping the families in the Annex were not arrested or killed, but the families in the Annex were taken to concentration camps. They all died except for Otto Frank. This story is one of many tragic events of the Holocaust.
The Holocaust should never be forgotten, as over 11 million people were killed during this nightmarish event in history.
