Introduction

Soil erosion is a naturally occurring process that affects all landforms. Soil erosion can be a slow process that continues relatively unnoticed or can occur at an alarming rate, causing serious loss of topsoil and other related problems. Check Soil erosion in Zambia.

Task

· Form the group of 3 and assign a role to each member.

By the end of this lesson/project you should be able to:-

1. Define soil erosion

2. Explain the causes and effects of soil erosion

3. Discuss the measures that can be put in place to prevent soil erosion

MAIN TASK

Critically analyze the main causes of soil erosion, its effects and possible soil conservative measures that can be put in place in order to prevent soil erosion in our local community.

Conclusion

Soil erosion remains a key challenge to Zambian agriculture. It is therefore hoped that you have learnt a lot about soil erosion, and that your recommendations will help many farmers in our community to make significant progress in dealing with soil erosion problems on their farms.
