Bats are awesome!

Our class will be having a batty guest, but first we need to know more about her. Help research about bats so we will be ready for when she comes. She might even bring a batty treat for those who complete this challenge.

Task

Thank you for participating in the challenge, now let's get working!

First, visit the website links to help you label the bat diagram worksheet and tell what three body parts on a bat are used for on the sheet.

Next, tell what echolocation is and what noctural means by watching the Batney Ears Song on YouTube.

Finally, watch the Stellaluna book read aloud on YouTube and tell how bats and birds are the same and different by filling out the venn diagram.

1. Using the links, label the bat diagram worksheet and describe what three body parts do on the back of the sheet.

2. Make a poster with contruction paper and markers at the front of the room to tell what echolocation and noctural means after visiting the Batney Ears Song on YouTube. Have fun and be creative! 

3. Watch as Pamela Reed tells the story of Stellaluna on YouTube. When you are finished, use your iPad to create an interactive venn diagram that tells how birds and bats are the same and how they are different. Remember to add your name in the title and print it out once you have finished.

1. - Go here and print then complete the first part of the bat body quiz.

    - Print and complete the second part to the bat body quiz here.

    - Take a bat body part diagram sheet to label off the front table to complete or visit this site to print your own. Once you have filled it out and put your name on it, turn it in.

2. On a piece of paper design a poster or just wrte the definitions of NOCTURNAL and ECHOLOCATION. Remeber to put your name on the back of it.

3. Follow this link to print and complete the bat vs. bird sheet. Remember to add your name.
