My home is my castle

Introduction

-          Greeting: - Good afternoon, children!

-          Good afternoon, good afternoon.

Good afternoon to you.

Good afternoon, my teacher

I`m glad to see you!

-          Thank you. Sit down. I`m glad to see you too. (Checking the absentees).

Then let`s begin our lesson. The theme of our lesson is “My Home is My Castle”.

-          Today we’re having a video-lesson on the topic we’ve been discussing at the lessons for some time. At the lesson we`ll do different things: to revise both grammar and lexical themes, do exercises, play game, make a dialogue and listen to a tapescript.

Task

v  Put the given words into appropriate place. You see four envelops here on the video here the names of rooms are written on each of them.

The words are: armchair, bedside table, cooker, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, shower,  sink,

sofa, toilet, wardrobe, washbasin, washing machine, pan, curtains, TV set.

  1. Living room: . . .
  2. Kitchen: . . .
  3. Bedroom: . . .
  4. Bathroom: . . .

Process

Now You`ll see a lot of pictures, the pictures of types of houses, houses in different countries and the pictures of each room`s furniture.

-          For example this one, Balzhan. What do you think what type of house it is?

-          It is a detached house (Then the pupils will be shown those pictures made in videos).

As you know there is a wonderful proverb or we may say a saying among the people: “So many countries, so many customs”.  So each country has his history, culture, and stereotype. So their houses differ from ours.

v  Guessing riddles

-          Let`s guess some riddles, girls and boys. You`ll be shown the meanings of words, your

task will be to guess what is being spoken about.

1 Things are usually on the windows.

2) The place around the house is called ….

3) I have legs: one, two, three, four

But I cannot walk across the floor

4) What is it? That does not ask questions

     But must be answered

5) This is a house

    With one window in it

    Showing films

     Nearly every minute
