Food Groups

Introduction

This Webquest is to learn more about the 5 main food groups. They are meats, vegetables, fruit, dairy and grains. These 5 groups are essential to a healthy diet and should be included in every meal. Without these foods, we are not able to gain all the proper nutrients, vitamins, minerals and sources of energy we need to carry out daily tasks. In this webquest, you are going to complete a series of questions and fill out a weekly food log in order to track your meals.

Conclusion

We learned that the 5 food groups are very important and can be vital to our health. The more we can have a balanced diet, the better off we will be. Our weekly food log is a great tool to chart our food intake and see if we are making steps in the right direction.
